United Nations celebrates 20 years of protection for children's rights
20 November 2009 - The United Nations today celebrates since the Convention on the Rights of the Child was adopted by the General Assembly on 20 November 1989. In a joint statement, the Representatives of UNICEF and OHCHR in Cambodia welcomed the Government's strong commitment to implementing the Convention for the benefit of all children in Cambodia. The Convention on the Rights of the Child is the most ratified human rights treaty in the world. More in English or Khmer.
