PHNOM PENH (03 June 2016) – As Pride Week came to a close, five UN agencies – UNAIDS, UN Women, UNICEF, UNESCO and OHCHR – co-released a joint UN op-ed, which was published in English and Khmer. The op-ed points out the successes of the celebrations, as well as the challenges still ahead. “A society in which diversity is respected and valued and everyone can safely and openly be who they are is the vision of Pride,” the op-ed states. “Achieving this vision requires a year-round commitment from all of us to leave no one behind and to challenge stigma, discrimination and exclusion wherever we find them.” Read the full op-ed in English and Khmer
