PHNOM PENH (03 March 2017) – The United Nations human rights office (OHCHR) invites you to join a Public Conference on "Human Rights in Cambodia Today" on Friday, 10 March 2017, organized by OHCHR, in collaboration with the Cambodian Human Rights Committee with the support of the Canadian Embassy in Bangkok. The topics to be covered include: Cambodia’s democratic institutions; justice for all; access to information; combatting inequality; and labour relations, which will be addressed by knowledgeable experts from government, civil society, and UN agencies. The conference will take place at the Sunway Hotel in Phnom Penh from 8:00 to 17:15, with registration commencing at 7:30. There is no participation fee and lunch will be provided. While the Conference is open to all interested persons, participation is subject to prior registration due to space constraints, so please register in advance by e-mailing cambodia@ohchr.org with your full name, organization (if any) and contact details. Please note that registrations will be accepted up to room capacity and unregistered drop-ins on the day will not be accommodated.
