PHNOM PENH (24 November 2016) – Youth and NGO representatives were vested with knowledge today on how to monitor human rights generally, including in the context of demonstrations, and understand their rights and obligations under the Law on Peaceful Demonstration. The training, "Methodology on Human Rights Monitoring and Fact-Finding and Law on Peaceful Demonstration" was delivered by OHCHR and took place over 22-24 November 2016 in Kampong Thom province. In attendance were 36 participants from the Cambodian Youth Network, along with a variety of representatives from community organizations and NGOs, including Licadho, Cambodian Women Crisis Center and Legal Aid of Cambodia. The participants came from Prey Long, Stung Treng, Kratie, Preah Vihear, Kampong Thom, Siem Reap and Thong Khunna.
