24 November 2008 - The Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights in Geneva has begun the process of reviewing Cambodia's first report on its implementation of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. A pre-sessional working group, consisting of three of the eighteen committee members, will today begin drafting a list of preliminary questions based on its first reading of the report. The Government will have to provide a written reply to these questions by March 2009 and the full Committee will meet with the Government in Geneva in May 2009. The list of questions will be published shortly.
