To draw attention to the persistent challenges faced by women in Cambodia; to provide information to the public about how CEDAW defines what constitutes discrimination against women and sets up an agenda for national action to end such discrimination and about the measures taken accordingly by the Royal Government of Cambodia and raise awareness about how the Optional Protocol to CEDAW can offer practical tools at the international level for challenging discrimination against women and gender inequality.
