The purpose of radio discussion is providing information to the public on the safeguard policies adopted by development banks to guarantee human rights on specific themes such as indigenous peoples, resettlement due to development projects, or poverty reduction, to ensure that projects that may lead to violations of human rights will not be financed, and to remedy any violations found to have occurred during the course of their projects.
