5 September 2012 - A three-day workshop on Promoting Cooperation between Courts, Prosecutors and Prisons and the Protection of Children's Rights in the Justice System opened today in Phnom Penh with an aim of gathering all officials from the courts, prisons, and prosecutors across the country to discuss strategies for information sharing and cooperation among government institutions in dealing with appeal cases. The workshop is the first such initiative for Cambodia and is spearheaded by the Court of Appeal with support from the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
