SR outlines his recommendations after 11th visit to the countryPhnom Penh, 24 June 2014 - The UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Cambodia met national and international media representatives in a Press Conference on 24 January 2014 in Phnom Penh. The Special Rapporteur presented his final statement following his 11th official visit to Cambodia during which he met with senior members of the Royal Government of Cambodia, senior members of the judiciary, a broad range of organisations from civil society and the private sector, and representatives from the international community, and carried out field visits to Koh Kong and Preah Sihanouk provinces.
The Special Rapporteur outlined the findings and recommendations of his visit in his press statement and answered questions from the journalists.
