NEW YORK (31 May 2016) – The UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon expressed concern “about the escalating tensions between the ruling and opposition parties in Cambodia, particularly arrests or attempted arrests of parliamentarians, who enjoy parliamentary immunity." He emphasized that “a non-threatening environment of democratic dialogue is essential for political stability and a peaceful and prosperous society,” said his spokesperson.
