17 December 2007 - Professor Brice Dickson, former Chief Commissioner of the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission, began a week-long visit to Cambodia today to support the efforts underway by the Government and civil society to work towards the long-term goal of establishing an independent human rights institution in the country. Professor Dickson will spend time with the NGO working group which is drafting a law to establish the commission and will also meet with Government representatives and parliamentarians.
